The walls of Jericho fell by God's power after the Israelites obeyed His instructions during their conquest of the Promised Land. God commanded Joshua to have the Israelites march around the city once each day for six days, with the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant and blowing ram's horn trumpets. On the seventh day, they marched around the city seven times, and after the priests sounded the trumpets, the people gave a great shout. The Bible records that "the wall fell down flat", allowing Israel to capture the city (Joshua 6:1–20, KJV). The fall of Jericho demonstrated that victory came not through human strength or military power, but through faith, obedience, and God's mighty intervention on behalf of His people.
