Mount Sinai is the mountain where God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses after leading the Israelites out of Egypt (Exodus 19–20, KJV). The Bible places it in the Sinai wilderness, but its exact location is unknown and has been debated for centuries. Many scholars traditionally identify it with Jebel Musa in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, while others suggest locations in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
