Where Was Nazareth?

Nazareth was a small town in the region of Galilee, located in northern Israel, and is best known as the place where Jesus was raised (Matthew 2:23; Luke 2:39–40, KJV). It was in Nazareth that the angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would give birth to the promised Messiah (Luke 1:26–38, KJV). Jesus spent His childhood and early adult years there, which is why He was commonly called "Jesus of Nazareth." Although Nazareth was an ordinary and often overlooked village, God chose it for the upbringing of His Son, fulfilling His divine plan. The town reminds believers that God often works through humble places and people to accomplish extraordinary purposes.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
