Philip was one of the twelve apostles chosen by Jesus and was among His earliest disciples (John 1:43–46, KJV). After Jesus called him with the words, "Follow me," Philip immediately told Nathanael that they had found the promised Messiah. During Jesus' ministry, Philip asked practical questions, such as how to feed the five thousand (John 6:5–7), and later requested, "Lord, shew us the Father," prompting Jesus to reveal His unity with the Father (John 14:8–9, KJV). Philip faithfully followed Christ throughout His ministry and witnessed His death and resurrection. His life demonstrates the importance of bringing others to Jesus, growing in understanding, and trusting Christ even when His ways are not fully understood.
