Cana was a village in the region of Galilee, located north of Nazareth in present-day northern Israel. It is best known as the place where Jesus performed His first recorded miracle, turning water into wine at a wedding feast (John 2:1–11, KJV). This miracle revealed Jesus' divine glory and strengthened His disciples' faith in Him. Cana was also the hometown of Nathanael (Bartholomew), one of Jesus' disciples (John 21:2, KJV). Later, Jesus returned to Cana and healed the son of a royal official from a distance, demonstrating His authority over sickness (John 4:46–54, KJV). Cana is remembered as a place where Jesus first publicly revealed His power and compassion, pointing people to believe that He is the promised Messiah.
